EMI BRENER

My work is an exploration of my loved ones, a futile attempt to capture my own feelings and showcase them to the world, to connect. 

 I strongly believe portraits can enlighten and show us both the differences and similarities we share. My work strives to foster a sense of belonging, of home.  

Born in Uruguay in 1996.

2015 - Attended Undergraduate Summer Art Program in Tyler School of Art, Temple University, PA, USA.

2018- Attended Summer Undergraduate Painting Program at New York Academy of Art, in NY, USA.

Currently attending IENBA (Instituto Nacional Escuela de Bellas Artes) for a BFA degree.

2020 - Resident at SomoS Art House, in Berlin, Germany.
